NTA Releases Re-NEET UG 2026 Results
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Re-NEET UG 2026 results. Candidates who appeared in the medical entrance examination can access and download their scorecards from the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

According to the agency, nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for the examination held on June 21, 2026. More than 11.21 lakh of them have qualified for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses.
The NTA stated that the results were announced on schedule to facilitate the timely commencement of counselling and admissions for medical colleges.
Overview of the Re-NEET UG 2026 Examination
The Re-NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted at 5,440 centres spread across 551 cities in India and 14 cities overseas.
Candidates took the examination in 13 languages:

The NTA reported that women accounted for more than 58 per cent of the qualified candidates, with female candidates recording a better qualification rate than their male counterparts.
It also noted that the majority of the highest-scoring candidates were in the 17 to 19 years age group.
Punjab and Haryana Students Secure Joint Top Position
Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana jointly achieved the highest score of 715 out of 720 in Re-NEET UG 2026.
The NTA released the following performance statistics:
- 19 candidates scored more than 700 marks.
- 138 candidates obtained above 690 marks.
- 1,492 candidates secured 650 marks or higher.
- 10,160 candidates scored 600 marks or above.
- 90,780 candidates scored 500 marks or more.
Among the 138 highest scorers:
- More than 93 per cent were appearing for NEET UG for the first time.
- Nearly 99 per cent belonged to the 17–19 years age group.
The 17 candidates who scored above 705 marks were from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
The NTA further stated that 17 state toppers secured 700 marks or above, while 26 state toppers scored more than 690 marks.
Qualified candidates were reported from all 36 States and Union Territories. Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of qualified candidates with over 1.7 lakh, whereas Lakshadweep had 43 qualified candidates.

The final answer key was released one day before the declaration of the results.
Changes Made to Physics Questions Before Result Declaration
Before announcing the final results, the NTA made revisions to two Physics questions during the evaluation process.
According to the agency:
- One Physics question was removed.
- Another Physics question accepted two correct answers.
- In accordance with the evaluation policy, all candidates received 8 bonus marks.
These revisions were incorporated into the final assessment before the results were published.
Medical Counselling to Commence After Result Announcement
Candidates who have qualified in Re-NEET UG 2026 will now proceed to the counselling stage for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical programmes.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats in MBBS and BDS courses, while counselling for state quota seats will be carried out by the respective state authorities.
The NTA stated that declaring the results on time was aimed at ensuring that the counselling and admission process begins according to the planned schedule.

The NTA has advised candidates to depend exclusively on official websites for counselling-related information.
The agency also warned aspirants against fake calls, messages and websites claiming to provide admissions, seat blocking or score enhancement. It clarified that it never requests payment or personal credentials and urged candidates to stay alert against fraudulent activities.
